FAQ | Fabulous Women

  • Why network?

Starting or growing your own business invariably means working on your own or working from home and that can get lonely, de-motivating and not much fun. Networking gives your week structure, it provides you with company, stimulation, ideas, contacts, friends and new customers. Make networking a regular part of your working week and it will boost your confidence, productivity, skills and circle of contacts. "No man is an island" said John Donne and women particularly thrive when surrounded by a supportive network.
  • Why Fabulous Women and Marvellous Men?

We believe in connection and collaboration so the meetings are relaxed, fun but at the same time structured and professional to make the most of your busy schedule. · Networking at school friendly times: usually 9.30 or 10.00 until 11.30 or 12.00 but with some social and charity events at other times too · Choice -30+ networking opportunities every month (with more groups being added all the time) You are free to attend as many meetings as you like · No limitations - Freedom to attend any group at any time; we believe in collaboration so you will be welcome even if a current member offers a similar service · Grow your network - Our open door policy means that on average 20% of attendees at each meeting are guests so that you are constantly meeting new people · Effective use of your time - Our meetings are structured and purposeful with a good balance of chat and information · Inspiration, learning and support at every meeting; our talks are informative and stimulating, our mini coaching or hot seat sessions move your business forward · Learn more about growing your business - Cost effective training and coaching online or offline (half day training sessions start at £25) · The chance to swap skills with other members via our website Swap Shop · A growing range of member discounts o New! Member's promotion - a free months membership when you introduce either a Contributor or Inspirer member. If you bring a guest who joins as a Contributor or Inspirer Member this is what you will get as a little "thank you".
  • Why become a Contributor or Inspirer member?

    · Grow your circle of influence: Support for your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn campaigns · An audience for your articles and events: our website attracts around 1000 new visitors every month and they stay to read our members' articles · A speaking platform where you'd be able to talk about your business at any of our 28+ groups
  • What you won't get from Fabulous Women:

    · Pressure to refer business to other members, (although we hope you'll want to) · A requirement to attend every meeting or to find a substitute ( although we think you'll want to come often) · An insistence on arranging one to one meetings with other members (although we do encourage them)
