FABULOUS WOMEN UNITE FOR BREAKTHROUGH BREAST CANCER

Posted on 28/05/2014

Business networking group Fabulous Women will be holding a networking fundraiser in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the UK's leading charity dedicated to stopping women getting, and dying from, breast cancer.

The group will host the evening in the Mall Galleries, London, on the 24th of June from 76-9pm, and is hoping to raise 10,000 for the charity's life-saving work. There will be inspirational speeches by special guests – including one from Vernon Hill, the Chairman of Metro Bank (The 'Entrepreneurs Bank') and Antonio Falco, Regional Chairman of Federation of Small Businesses; Carole Ann Rice, Columnist with the Daily Express and Jessica Jones, Author of Chemo Chic and Survivor  as well as an auction and a brilliant opportunity to network. Also, there will be a Private Viewing of the 153rd Exhibition of The Society of Women Artists.

Jane Hardy, Director of Fabulous Women, said: "We're really looking forward to this event and we hope to raise lots of money for this very worthy cause. The Fabulous Women community aims to support women in win-win ways, by inspiring and motivating them, by finding practical ways to promote women in business while at the same time raising funds for the causes women care about by organising and hosting fundraising events. Everyone knows somebody affected by breast cancer so it's crucial that we continue to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer's vital research and help save lives."

Amanda Jones, Breakthrough Breast Cancer Ambassador, said: "We are extremely honoured to be working with such a fantastic organisation, and we wish Fabulous Women every success for their event. I hope that as many people as possible get behind this event and help to beat this disease for good. I lost my beautiful daughter, Becks, to breast cancer when she was just 334 and it breaks my heart that there are more women out there having to face this disease every single day. Everyone at Breakthrough Breast Cancer is dedicated to ensuring that more women survive breast cancer; but we cannot continue our vital work without the help of inspiring supporters like Fabulous Women."

The need for Breakthrough Breast Cancer's work has never been greater; it's a disease that affects more and more women every year. The charity was the first of its kind to set up a dedicated breast cancer research centre when no others existed. Funding more than 270 world-class scientists, Breakthrough is dedicated to saving lives through improving early diagnosis, developing new treatments and preventing all types of breast cancer.
