Your Attitude, not your Aptitude, will determine your Altitude, Zig Ziglar.

Posted on 03/12/2012 Hilary Hinton "Zig" Ziglar, he had to live up to such a distinguished name.  The positive influence of Zig Ziglar has spread will continue long after his death (28 November 2012). His brand of positive thinking was not professed as a quick fix or easy ride, Zig Ziglar maintained that motivation assisted the commitment to hard work through daily practice. Oliver Burkeman of The Guardian states The notion that merely having the right thoughts might be sufficient by itself would have struck him (Zig Ziglar) as absurd yet these days that's exactly what many of the most popular self-help and popular business writers claim. http://bit.ly/11re7PH

Ziglar said People often say that motivation doesnt last. Well, neither does bathing thats why we recommend it daily.

What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

All too often we focus on the benefit the activity will bring us rather than the purpose of the activity.  There is more longevity in the benefit we can bring to others than the benefit we can bring to ourselves. The more we give the more we get.

Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.

Start with the end in mind, in business and in life. Without a plan in place all roads will lead there. Life is too precious to waste time wallowing, distracted, with a lacking focus or intent.

When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there.

Challenges simply test our reactions and commitment to the goal, we learn more from the challenge of achieving the goal than attaining the goal.

Its not what youve got; its what you use that makes a difference.

It is especially relevant in this connected virtual world; it is not who we are but how much influence we have that can make all the difference in our ability to make a positive change.

The way you see people is the way you treat them.

When we learn this about ourselves, it reveals what we can learn about other peoples.  I remember being told; when someone is pointing the finger at you they are really pointing it at themselves. Treat everyone with the love a respect you want to receive.

Money wont make you happy but everybody wants to find out for themselves.

Zig Ziglar had a great humour in his presentations and his observations were based realism and fantasy. He did not want to change the world he just made it better.

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude, Zig Ziglar.
