Charlie’s story

 Hello

My name is Charlie and I am 10, my sister is Emily and she is 6.

I do try but I wish I could help mummy more, daddy got very ill and died when I was 6. We lived in a big house with a bedroom each and a spare and had a garden I could play in.

After daddy died, mummy had to sell the house because she said we could not afford it.

We are living now in a small flat in the middle of the town ( we have not got a car) and I have to share a bedroom with Emily – she is a girl and very boring and anyway I would much rather have my own room.

My best friend Jimmy’s dad is a financial adviser and Jimmy says his dad says my dad ought to have had a big life insurance policy like him so that we could have stayed in our home and had extra money for a car and holidays and things. I don’t really know how that works, but it would have been nice. And Jimmy says it would not have cost much either.

I wish my dad had had a big life insurance policy
